It’s been a little quiet on the Raising Biotech front lately — but that’s about to change.
After two well-received seasons, I took some time to reflect on what this podcast could (and should) become. I started Raising Biotech because I saw a gap in the industry: we have plenty of promotional interviews and investor hype, but not enough thoughtful, editorial storytelling. So I set out to create a show that brings depth, nuance, and a healthy dose of journalistic scrutiny to the world of biotech startups.
That vision hasn’t changed — but how I get there is evolving.
A More Sustainable, Intentional Approach
Producing a narrative podcast solo — from sourcing and scripting to editing and music — is no small feat. And after wrapping up Season 2, I realized I needed a new approach to keep the show sustainable alongside other creative projects. That’s why I’m shifting to a monthly episode cadence, with new episodes released on the first Wednesday of each month.
This pace allows me to maintain high editorial standards while keeping things manageable. Each episode will still spotlight early-stage biotech companies, but with a tighter focus on the founder journey and fundraising landscape. Occasionally, I’ll bring in expert voices when the topic demands deeper analysis — especially around IPOs or major inflection points.
Editorial Integrity First
One of the defining features of Raising Biotech is its editorial independence. I’ve made a deliberate choice not to take funding or sponsorship from biotech companies, pharma, or VCs with a direct stake in the startups I cover. That limits monetization options — but it keeps the show honest, which is more important to me.
That said, I’m opening the door to sponsorships and content partnerships with select service providers who are genuinely innovating in the biotech ecosystem. If you’re doing something bold that deserves a platform — whether it’s on the tech, legal, comms, or infrastructure side — let’s talk.
How You Can Support the Show
This podcast has grown thanks to you — the listeners who’ve shared it, sent kind messages, and offered feedback. If you want to help Raising Biotech thrive in this next chapter, here’s how:
Rate & Review: It’s quick, free, and massively helpful. Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or directly on raisingbiotech.com — every review counts.
Join the Patreon: I’ve launched a Patreon page where you can access transcripts, summaries, bonus content, and help shape future episodes.
Spread the word: Share the show with a colleague, a founder, or someone curious about where biotech is headed.
The goal is still the same: to tell compelling stories about innovation in biotech, with depth, clarity, and integrity. I'm excited for what’s ahead — and grateful to have you listening.
Season 3 starts now.
